... or does Paul McGann look an awful lot like Alan Rickman?

I've just started watching the TV movie that introduces the 8th doctor (oh my word, that was one funny regeneration scene! Sylvester McCoy's grimaces had me rolling) and I can't get past the resemblance. Anyone know if they're related? McGann and Rickman, that is.

It's jarring because it looks like Professor Snape playing the Doctor. Has anyone else noticed?

They do look rather similar, but unless daddy had a secret family, they are not related
