Although Liz Sladden has passed away they had shot some episodes of Series 5 and we will be getting them in Early October according to the official site.

Let's all e-mail the BBC and BBC America and see if we can get them to write a story where the Doctor finds out that something happened to Sarah Jane- ( Example, she and K-9 sacrificed themselves to save her son and the Earth- or so) and he is called by Mr. Smith and has to help out Luke- and in the end he takes him along with him. Since he isn't human either and a boy, he's curious about what's out there in the universe and he is taken under the Doctor's wing just like his mom was, and the Doctor gets attatched to him like he was with his granddaughter Susan when the series started out. It's an idea and it's worth a shot to see if they may think about it.

Andy,
That is a great idea and it could work if it wasn't for how they ended SJA.
I do agree that the Doctor does need to find out she has passed on.
