I wouldn't go all out and change everything.... but I would say do what flows with the skin. If it looks out of place being the original image, change it. Or maybe it just needs a color change. I guess just don't over do it... I've seen many sites do that and it turns out hideous 99% of the time.

I agree there Linkin.
I think I decided to just recolor what I can. However with v5 I put it on hold till I see if it will be made easier in some way. I just can't wait till v5
