This episode sees Maria & Alan Jackson moving over the road from Sarah Jane Smith. We see what Sarah Jane has been up to since she parted ways with the Doctor In School Reunion.
Sarah Jane decides to do what she and the Doctor always did. She investigates the aliens that come to earth and follows the Doctors method unlike Torchwood or UNIT which she feels go in ALL GUNS BLAZING.
Maria discovers this later after seeing Sarah Jane with an Alien in her garden. Maria and Sarah Jane cross paths again at the Bubble Shock Factory. Maria discovers the archtype and Sarah Jane discovers them.
Sarah Jane is wary of letting anyone into her world especially a child so she sends Maria home. Sarah Jane later decides to tell Maria the truth and a friendship is formed.
