This should not be one of my favourite episodes considering all the emotional damage it does to me. When I told my fellow Who friends I was on series two, they all couldn't wait for me to get to Doomsday. And after I watched it, I was an emotional wreck. Literally started to cry when Rose was telling her Mum that she wasn't leaving the Doctor alone to about an hour after I watched it....then sporadic periods of tears over the next few days. Mind you, I just watched this Saturday night, so it's still fresh in my mind and I very well could burst into tears at any moment.
Anyway, where to start. So many things!
Okay, so I know there is a way the Doctor could have saved Rose from being sucked into the void and transported to the parallel universe. Just a matter of whether or not she would have listened to him. Thought, to be fair if he would say it would save his life or something, she'd listen. I'd think she'd listen, anyway. Not the point, slightly rambling. Sorry 'bout that. But the Doctor was planning on opening the void to suck all the Cybermen and Daleks in on his own, so he could've just locked Rose in the TARDIS and she would've been safe. On that note, how the hell was he even planning on doing it by himself anyway?
Other thing: I am a hardcore 10/Rose shipper and I'm sorry if you don't like it, but oh well! I firmly believe that he was going to tell Rose he loved her if the transmission wouldn't have cut off. He was!
And the crying! Ugh, Billie Piper and David Tennant did magnificent jobs on those scenes. I think that's what got me the most.
Okay, I'll leave you with this. It's all I can think of at the moment anyway!
