Companion to: 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th Doctors.
While working for Metropolitan magazine, Sarah posed as her aunt, a famous virologist, to infiltrate a UNIT-controlled facility where scientists had gone missing. She met Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and UNIT's unpaid scientific advisor, the Third Doctor. Suspicious of the Doctor's activities, Sarah Jane stowed away in his TARDIS. She was roughly 23 years old at this time, by her own account.
She had many adventures with the 3rd doctor until his regeneration due to his exsposer to the metabilis crystals.
She was there as he regenerated into his 4th incarnation and was instrumental in getting him to help out the Brigadier with a case he had. She and the 4th Doctor parted ways when he was called home..
She ran into him again in his 10th incarnation when they were both investigating the same school. She at first had issues with Rose and Rose with her but they work it out by laughing about how the Doctor hasn't changed... They solve the case and safe the kids at the school but with the sacrifice of K-9. The Doctor gives her the offer of traveling with him again but she declines saying she needs to finally get on with her life..
She does do that and with a updated K-9 she decides to keep with the Doctors legacy and protect the Earth like he does unlike UNIT & Torchwood whom she feels go in ALL GUNS BLAZZING.
She is assisted by her adopted son LUKE the neighbor from over the road Maria Jackson and a school mate of theirs Clyde Langer. When Maria moves to America she again finds ally with the neighbor over the road Rani Chandra who admires her for her Journalism and wants to be a Journalist.
